LOTS of updates, starting with: Overtrick’s Steam Page is now live! Please, please WISHLIST! It will be super helpful, and I’ll be eternally grateful.

In preparation for the official demo launch, we’ve also been busy with visual updates and an immersive tutorial. We updated Overtrick’s logo and art, and updated a lot of the in-game menus, buttons, and cards to match. The in-game tutorial is short and sweet, and you’ll only have to play through it once.

You’ll see lots of changes in the game itself as well!

• Ability Icons. Strategically set up massive combos, with icons showing which abilities are about to trigger.
• Updated Scorecard. Figuring out how many points you need to win is as simple as checking the scorecard in the top right.
• Trump Suit Indicator. The trump suit is now shown directly on trump cards, with a special decoration behind the suit.
• Card Illustrations. King/Queen/Jack cards now have illustrations, and the cardback illustration was updated.
• Winning. …Aaaand you can actually win the game (get to Level 10), rather than just continuing on forever.

Finally, we made a lot of gameplay adjustments.

• Level Progression. We changed how quickly the difficulty ramps. Find your strategy early on, then buckle up as you get closer to Level 10.
• Shop and Card Limits. You can hold up to 5 special cards, so choose wisely. Cards are also pricier now.
• Card Buffs. There are now 14 special cards (down from 23), but we buffed most of them. All of the bonus trick and multiplier cards now work passively, and many of them grant an additional point or two.
